Late monsoons, record El Nino...

54 , 89% humidity. Off and on downpours all night. Drizzle in between.
Typhoon made landfall and crossing Sea of Cortez,heading inland towards NM. Fun bonus on monsoons.
Oh yeah, another heading up the coast now...6th ? 7th?

Locally, Hwy 36 closed due to hazmat crash just north of Quemado. The 2 alternate routes are state hwys, but dirt, so no go.

Storm moving fast and the outer bands have moved quick. Hope it doesn't stall.

Unfortunately the chile crop this year is lowest in many years.
Lack of water and a beet leaf blight. Wilts chile crowns.
I'd call and order now, they might be gone. Several places roasting in Alb. with Hatch chiles. Or were last week.

Heavy rains today and yesterday from the River east.
Got mud free work done today here. Coming in now and tomorrow here.

Az has tornado watches up Tuscon south. Same for east NM.

@0330 woke to lights flickering and the freezer alarm buzzed...generator still running. They are trying.
Power came back for a few minutes around 8pm but generator came back on.
SEC has been pretty good in some of the worst working conditions.
Have their hands full this morning with Socorro half flooded and surrounding villages in standing water. Arroyos breached banks where they meet the Great River. Local guys are out there trying.

Rain has stopped,for now. Here. Outer bands might get a lick in still thru Thurs. Then clear for a week.
East NM and CO are getting it now up to Pueblo.
Tejas your drought and heat spell is over, good luck.
Buddy in WI had to stop picking corn when the flow hit him.

Overcast and trying to get light. Local news has reporters standing in water waiting to see NM today.

Generac 24K. Back up. Auto switch control panel.
Going over 12 hrs now. Need to get a bigger propane tank for house and move the 250 there.

That’s a nice setup. I would like to have one for my place. I’m building a house for some folks that are getting one. It’s going to have a dedicated 1,000 gallon propane tank. Electrician quoted $17k for the generator and all equipment /wiring. 1,000 gallon underground tank is another $5k.

That's about what this one was, but all the Generac service guys are gone around here since covid. I paid a neighbor to install panels and get going.
That is cheap for a 1000g.
Going up to Milan Mon. to talk to the local guy and bribe him...the 2 local dealers are total unreliable crooks.
A 300-350 will be big enough for my house as it's just cooking and back up heat. The 250 lasted 3 years and had 30% a couple months ago.
I have a 80g portable back up- back up tank. Get them all filled while I can.
