Last Day Fall Turkey with my Son

Kalistan is one of a few states that have a fall turkey season. I spent the weekend with my youngest son chasing birds and was able to get this young hen the final afternoon of the season after many miles hiked and many opportunities falling short. The little guy did great and is excited to be the trigger man next year!

He was a trooper. I hunt turkeys like hogs so we glass them in the rolling hills/ little mountains here and go after them. I think we climbed about 2-3K feet that day and close to 5 miles total before we got within bangstick range. Kid never complained, and is pumped to be the trigger man this spring.
