We came across a pack of "large coyotes" in the Uintas last fall during the elk hunt. This was between Spirit Lake and Manila. Has anybody else seen any since then?

I am failing to connect the dots on this one mtmiller...

Let me try....

Wolf or "large coyote" conversations are common in drinking establishments and atv clubs.

I'm sure there are wolves in Utah. If there aren't, there will be soon.

Many so called wolf sightings are coyotes.

The first wolf I saw shocked me with it's size. There is no mistaking one.

Though I agree with T-bone's assessment, I think what miller was alluding to are that folks on bar stools "see" more wolves than folks in the hills do...

Or are you just curious as to the reference to barstools in UT? ;) :D

Wolves probably are in the Uinta's. I know of confirmed sightings north and west of there (south of Bear Lake) and that was 4 years ago. Two that were killing sheep were shot by APHIS not 1/4 mile across the state line in WY about 5-6 years ago.

Thanks for the clarification.

Oh, and there are barstools in Utah. They are elusive, but I managed to sit on a couple of them!!! :D :D
