Land of Enchantment blitz

Day one was great.

While driving in, we found a brown 6 point on the direct X of where I usually set my tent up.

I feel like that was a fun sign for what was to come. Because I was driving, my buddy saw it first by approx .000003 seconds before me so he got to claim it.

We parked the truck and went off.
After about 5 miles of hiking and .7 miles from where we found the first one I found another 6 point. We argue daily if it’s a match set, but doesn’t matter. We were both on the board.

We each also found a chalk shed.
Day 1 total:
2 browns
2 chalks

Probably going to have to load one per post.

Day two started off slow with a small fork from a mule deer.

I found some fresh ATV tracks and horse tracks on some closed roads, so I decided to play a game. Go where everyone else doesn’t go.

Then on a special little spot, I found these beautiful browns!

All and all this was a fun trip.

We picked up about a full bag of trash on the hikes too which I feel like always gives me good luck.

Now unfortunately it’s a long back drive to humanity.

Last bit of advice. New Mexico is beautiful in so many ways. Go visit it.
