Kodiak blacktail bow hunt

Well now I stink like bear. I went over and helped him flesh the skull out of the hide. Its a 4 or 5 year old boar. We measured it out at 7' 8" (it may go 7' 10" once the feet are skun out and it looks like the skull may go a little over 21". So it will make P&Y. His first shot was at 25 yards and it went a little far back. The bear went out to about 35 yards and turned to look at him. He spined it with the next shot and then finished it with one through the lungs. It ended up in the river so it looks a little ratty in the pics but it does have a nice hide. Pretty nice brown for a bow kill anyway you look at it.

I can only imagine the adrenaline pumping after getting a not so great shot on a brownie. Through the roof I am sure. Cool under pressure to get 2 more in him.
