I'm originally from KS, and worked as a public lands manager up until 2015. We go back every spring, but because of what used to be good access to family and friends of family ground. In the last 3 years in the NE part of the state, numbers have plummeted like the deer. I did see that they increased OOS licenses, which everyone said they needed to. I'm not sure if it changed anything, but what little public and Walk In there was, was getting hit pretty hard since season opened earlier than MO and AR. I see that shotgun opens a week later now, so it may make for better hunting and numbers.
