Read today there was about 2500 Americans, 4400 Allies total and between 4000 - 9000 Germans lost their life that day. Those are big numbers to die for their respective countries on one day. Take a moment to think about the signifigance of it.

The 29th Division hit the beach at Normandy full of young men from Maryland and other areas. The older I get the more I am amazed with their courage and appreciative of their sacrifice. True heros that can't be thanked enough...

Thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention today. It is amazing how many day's that go by that are so significant to our freedom and they just seem to go by without notice. This is one of the biggest day's in our countries history as well as the worlds. Thanks to our fallen and living fore fathers for their bravery!

My Dad was in WWII along with bunch of his cousins and friends. Some didn't come back. I don't know much about his service because did not want talk about anything to do with it.

They were brave souls.
