I remember seeing them often in the late '70s & early '80s. During the rut I've seen aggressive bucks swim the Columbia river between Oregon and Washington trying to find hot does. Now, they're pretty rare around here, this one my son got more than a decade ago. I'm going soft in my old age and won't let my sons hunt them anymore.
