It took 15 years...

But I finally got drawn in PA's elk lottery.

Woohoo!!!

3rd season (January) cow in zone 308.
Congrats. If the stars align and you need help I may be available.
I’m 66 and retired so if I’m tagged out on deer by then I should be available. I’m in s.w. Pa. And no I’m not a mass murderer. 😂
Congrats again.

Congrats! Cant wait to hear the details! Gonna use that wby?
Actually, I can't use the 257 Weatherby that I bought from you.
They have a caliber restriction in PA for elk.

Going to be using my Mark V Weathermark LT in 7mm WBY.

Now need to get on the elk since they redid the zones.

Congratulations
Remember if DIY...dont have go check station whole just quarter it. Way easier

I gotta check with the Game Commission on what they require to check it in.

Last year I did the gutless method on 2 does that I got on the last day.
Took a little more time in the field, but was SOOO much easier to pack out!

There is one State Game Lands that crosses private property to get into. The property owner apparently had enough of people mistreating it. It's now posted along with a private road sign and a gate.

There is supposedly another way in, but it looks like it's gonna be a b****!
Steep 500ft elevation change (up) and over a 1/2 mile through the woods to get to the fields.

I'm heading there next weekend with a friend to see how bad it is.

Congrats, I was on the survey crew in February 2025. I don't know the units but I can give some info on patterns I was seeing. PM if you want.

Congratulations! I have friend that has been putting in as a resident for about that long. I'm hoping to tag along if he ever gets drawn. We went to Benezette a few years ago during the rut. Holy smokes are there some big bulls in PA!!!!

Congrats !
My son in law got drawn for a Michigan cow tag a couple years ago and got one. If you draw a bull tag in MI, that's your one and only opportunity in life.
He's got to sit our ten years between cow tags. They award around 200 total tags each year.
