Is your town HAUNTED?

Thanks Bill! That's an awesome site! It leaves out a lot of other local hauntings, but it's cool to see more haunted stuff in our city! I don't believe in ghosts, but it's a lot of fun to read about and great stuff to scare folks with!

 Guess what??? Spanaway is haunted, parts are. Like Spanaway Lake high School, Spanaway Jr. High, and Spanaway Lake Park. Who knew?????????
Quick Draw

Joliet - Frank Shaver Allen house, corner of Morgan and Dewey streets - The Frank Shaver Allen house haunting was well-documented in the local press in the late 1970's after a team of psychics and a Joliet newspaperwoman investigated it. The family then living there cooperated in the investigation after having experienced very dramatic paranormal events for over a decade. The house was built for wealthy Frank Shaver Allen in the latter half of the 19th century. He is believed to be one of the lingering spirits there. Also, reported are an elderly woman, believed to be someone who died from a terminal illness in the house; a former nanny and her charge, a young boy; and other spirits not identified. Many, many sightings of spirits and other strange events have occurred at the residence and have been witnessed by occupants, visitors, the psychics and reporter and others such as gas meter readers, etc. A boy who lived there experienced repeated visits from the ghostly nanny and boy who repeatedly invited him to join the ghost boy forever as his playmate. Unexplained, illusory fires have been seen there. A renovation/redecoration of the house inspired a wave of supernatural occurrences. The usual door slamming, odors, shadow-figures, unexplained voices and screams abound.

HAHAHA!!!!

It is mostly retirement around here and I am the only one in town doing the power hikes that consist of some thing heavier than lifting a walker into the local rest home... :)

thats a cool site...

I belive in ghosts... My parents live in an old victorian home. It was built BETWEEN1900-1902, the original homestead cabin was located about 150 feet due north of the house and was still in use until about 1940 when it burned down... As far as we know, only one person died on the property, and he was a drifter about 1920 that came through, Anyway the property was settled in 1886 by our family and only a hand full of relatives have ever lived there. My great great aunt and uncle were the founders, they had one child, who ened up inherting the place when they died. He was married but had no children and thats how my dad ened up with the place.

We are positive that there is a ghost that lives in the house, but he's friendly... I've heard footsteps while lying in bed and I know that no one would be up or was even home. Mostly walking in the hall way past my bedroom door, or going down the basement steps... You can hear it all through the house when they go down the steps... three of the steps make a really loud squeak!!!

I heard them many times... Doors closing at night, especially my sisters room door, but it never happened while I was upstairs, only when I was down stairs in the parlor watching TV... It was a little freaky to say the least.... it wasn't wind either, since it happed during the winter each time so no windows would be open...

The last "sighting" was about a year ago. My dad and my nephew were down in the barn yard, which sits about 50 yards in front of the house across the couny road... Anyway my dad and my little 5 year old nephew were feeding the cows in the feed lot, and my dad looked over to see my nephew waving to some one at the house... My dad looked up and saw a figure waving from the upstairs balcony door window!!!! Which happens to be right next to my sisters room!!!!!! MY DAD AND MY NEPHEW WHERE THE ONLY ONE HOME!!!
