Is Wildfire Smoke Affecting Northern Nevada?

I just read that California will soon shut down a few National Forests right before the hunting season due to the wildfires or future threat of fire.

Any information on the outlook in Northern Nevada? Stagnant smoke present now? Early Nevada seasons ruined by fires/smoke? Any relief in sight? Thanks.

It's been hit or miss. Pretty much depends on what the wind is doing. It was really bad last week, still a little hazy this week. Don't know about the eastern side of the state now, but it was really bad last week and the week before.

I’m heading to 61/71 this week for elk. It says 9 mi visibility which is good. But I know from a local it’s hazy at the least.
