GOHUNT - Filter and find hunts like never before

Is This an Idaho Thing???

Guess what happened on Saturday night in Boise????

Eufemio Enriquez-Villegas is being held in the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of DUI and a misdemeanor charge of hit and run after police say he drove his car into the garage of one of his Boise Bench neighbors Saturday night.

Residents at a home in the 2300 block of Shoshone Street, located in the Vista Avenue/Cherry Lane neighborhood, heard a crash and ran out in front of their home and saw a car, which had just smashed into their garage door, drive away at around 8 p.m. Saturday, according to Boise Police reports.

Those witnesses called police and gave them description of the car, which they watched pull into the parking lot of a nearby apartment complex.

Officers found the damaged car a short time later and identified Enriquez-Villegas as the driver. Police say Enriquez-Villegas registered a .16 blood alcohol level — twice the legal Idaho limit for driving of .08 — while taking a breath test at the Ada County Jail Saturday night.

Coloradans don't hit houses but watch out if you are a cop:

Early Saturday morning, a sheriff's deputy checking on a crash on the interstate was hit by two cars driven by suspected drunken drivers, one of whom fled the scene, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., county Sheriff's Deputy John Brownlee was walking back to his patrol car with a driver who had been in an accident on a bridge on the eastbound side of Interstate 70.

As the two were walking on the shoulder of the interstate, 19-year-old Jamison Bair, lost control of the Subaru Outback he was driving on the icy bridge and hit Brownlee, pulling over to the shoulder afterward, the statement said.

A few moments later, Brownlee was struck again, this time by a Chevrolet Avalanche driven by 23-year-old Francisco Granados, who kept driving afterward, the statement said. Granados was stopped by police nine miles past the incident.

Brownlee was taken to the hospital, with a broken leg.

Bair was arrested and charged with felony vehicular assault, driving under the influence of alcohol and careless driving causing serious bodily injury, the statement said.

Granados was arrested and charged with felony vehicular assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving causing serious bodily injury and fleeing the scene after causing bodily injury, the statement said. Both Bair and Granados were taken to the County Jail.

There may be a DUI crackdown in the near future I predict.
