Okay I recently changed employment and with it comes alot of changes. Well after a month without insurance coverage we obtained coverage again. Well it is basically the same insurance with the same insurer as last employer had.

Well I find out I have to get a certicate of credible coverage that states I had insurance within 60 days of last job. (Job change was from a Friday to a Monday) or my rate will be higher per month.

Here is the kicker..... The insurance company is the same as the last job. So this means I have to get a letter from them so I can send it back to them.

What will you do if they refuse to send you a letter?? Report them to themselves, and ask them to contact themselves and request that they forward, to themselves, the requested credible evidence that they have requested? ???

Nut,
As one who works daily in the health insurance business I would tell you to call customer service and explain to them that you are not a new member but you were covered with them before.

Ask them to handle the Creditable Coverage form internally. You may have been insured under a different dept. before. ie Large group now you may be under small group. Self funded vs. fully insured etc, etc.

I would tell you to handle it that way. I would also advise you to still get a hard copy of the creditable coverage form for your files as it is a golden documents which guarantees you many things.

Go down to their office, ask one of the agents if you can borrow their phone, and call them with some further questions. When they ask for a call-back number, give them their number and ask to be paged.

Whiskers
Because they ASS HOLES.

And I think Nut likes to see how pissed they can get me before I lose my cool with them. this time it took them 30 minutes to get me pissed off.

Vipe does Nut make you do the business phone calls like my husband does to me? Hubby likes to sit back and watch me rip them a new one. He tells me I'm just more talented at it than he is. :D
