Interesting January Reads (from southwest Montana)

A couple of interesting articles I found today in The Montana Pioneer (Livingston-based)
They write on the cover that they are the "best read around" and I think I am starting to agree.

First article is an interview with Yellowstone Park Wolf Expert Doug Smith. I liked it, but I have a balanced opinion on wolves. "Wolves are fine, just not 1000 of them!"
* Quite certain the greater Yellowstone elk herds would be in much better shape if Doug Smith and Randy Newberg had to collaborate and make all the management decisions together.

Second article is a fun read on UFO sightings in Cascade Country (Great Falls) and surrounding counties in the 1970's as told by a sheriff's officer now Justice of the Peace. Talks about cattle mutilations and government cover-ups in the area then. Definitely an entertaining read.
