Watch E-bay. I picked up a couple of packs recently for less than $100. Once was a blacks Creek barbarian ultralight with the side pockets and the other was and Eberlestock X1. As long as you don't have to have the latest and greatest pack you can usually find a good deal if you are patient.

I've used a Kelty, that I picked up for $64 on year end clearance, the past ten years. I finally shot a pretty big bull last year that smashed down the bar-frame, but that pack has carried many an elk out and was a steal for the price. This is the time to find those clearance sales too.

I elk hunted with a guy that uses the sacrifice this last year. He loves it. I tried it and I'd like it too.

He can overnight with it no problem.

I actually pulled the trigger on the Badlands Sacrifice. Love it so far, can't wait to take it hunting! Also, got it brand new for under $100!!
