I went to Idaho this past week and was at my sister's house. My nephew and I started to talk about the wolf issues in Idaho. My niece started to get political and then stated don't get me started. I asked her to take some time and take a trip to Yellowstone and report back to me the number of elk she see's on her trip. I told her no one can hunt there so just let me know the elk count and then we will continue our conversation. The last time I went to Yellowstone I saw one elk. I know there are more than one but I was just trying to make a point with her. She got up and went in the other room.

Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up. Sort of describes the mentality that drives the opposition.

We as hunters and conservationist we understand how the food chain works, it's to bad for a lot of people the light is on with no one home.

Younger folks around here still ask me about old hunting trips I took and where would I recommend----I hunted the Lochsa with 4 buds once and 5 once totally on our own and hunted Selway Bitter Root out of Paradise Ranger Sta with a local who would drop camp us at head of Bad Luck Cr and we foot hunted....killed quite a few elk, some muleys and a 140's whitetail.....I now tell them to try to draw in NM or AZ or just go to CO and no longer reccomend ID....and my grand daughters hubby is from ID.....fuggin wolves!!!
