I was really hoping the fire crews would be able to keep the Ross Fork Fire from jumping 75. Looks like it’s hopped in a couple places. Fingers crossed they can get those out as they happen and keep that as the eastern perimeter.

I feel for the Idaho guys. We went boating last week and could not see across the lake due to the smoke. We need all need some heavy rain or snow.

Double Creek has kind of stalled with the weather, but it is at 155k acres. One strong front could jump a river or two and make it double quite easily.

Air quality index was 240 in Grangeville Sunday afternoon.

Yes. Mill and Blodgett have both grown. Had needle ash falling from the sky yesterday. Bitterroot is like a smoke reservoir. Catches and keeps all the smoke coming from the west.

thick enough I thought I lived in Kansas, couldn't see the hills at all, and it's basically ALL hills around town. That was yesterday morning, all sports were canceled. Today is better, only 179.

We got some this morning. Just enough to knock some dust out of the air, but not enough to fix the smoke.

Rain yesterday and dry lightening just rolled through.

Lord knows how many new fires will show up in the next week.
