Idaho Deer and Elk Unit 45?

BOY has both deer and elk tags for 45. Any info folks would like to share would be greatly appreciated?

PS- I think he's hoping for an early winter...

Start talking to landowners now! The most difficult part of hunting that unit is getting access. I have a buddy that drew deer and elk in 45 last year as well. He and your son must be living right. He had a heck of a time getting to the elk. Easy to find, tough to get at. I'll chat with him and see if he has any insight.

45 is a lousy unit for deer. Tell him to shoot the first 2pt he finds and be happy.

Can't help ya with any advice, but sure am curious to see how he does. Couldn't imagine drawing both. Are you guys gonna focus most of your time on Deer or Elk?

I won't probably won't be able to make it up there for the deer/elk hunts. I'll let everyone know how he does.
