Here in southeast Idaho, it seemed like it was too hot this past weekend. No bugles, old rubs, not even a lick of frost on the ground. I think hunting higher, and finding springs will be on my hit list for this coming weekend!

Got a tag for both as well as wolf in my pocket at all times. I've sat on this spot a few times so far this season and no activity. I heard this weekend another Elk hunter shot a lion less than a mile for the spot. Don't know if it's the same one or not, but it's one less to worry about anyway.

Well things have gone quiet, two really weak bugled this morning, I think it has something to do with the full moon, anybody have any thoughts? I hate hunting these elk with that big ol bright moon
