Of course I didn’t draw moose. 20 years straight of not drawing something in Idaho. Awesome seeing the people on Facebook asking for help in units they’ve never seen and being happy to draw on their first ever try

After never drawing or hunting any OIL species I drew a moose tag... about two weeks after buying a cancellation BC mountain goat hunt. A good panic to get ready here

Congrats to whoever's checking those results today, moose/sheep/goat draws in Idaho are about as tough as it gets, way harder odds than most elk or deer tags. Worth remembering these are often once in a lifetime tags depending on species and unit, so if you drew you're looking at a hunt a lot of guys apply for their whole life and never pull. If you missed out this year, at least the bonus point system means the odds tick up a bit each cycle. Anyone draw a good unit worth sharing details on?

Idaho doesn’t have a bonus point system.
