I Saw a MONSTER last Night!

This buck was a solid 145-150" buck!
That is AWESOME for Alabama!

Funny thing is that joker was RIGHT BEHIND THE HOUSE! I even got my wife to come look at him thru the binos!

I set up a mock scrape in a thicket beside the pond this am, it is a saddle that is pretty thick and the scrapes (2) with drippers are 25 yards from a chain on 22' in a 60" dia. water oak. I saw the buck 200 yards from here headed toward my stand!
COMON OCT 15th!

I used to hike quite a ways into the woods
(here thats a mile or 3 at the most)
But the last couple of years I have been seeing more & more right near the house.
Since we dont shoot guns much there.
It makes for some great bow hunting!

JB, I've hunted alot next to the road because there's alot of good hunting there sometimes.
The obvious is somtines over looked.

I have had GREAT success, having someone drop me right at the edge of the road and hunt just inside our property line.
(with my scent blowing toward the road)
It disturbs nothing!
I think our whitetails are WAY different than mule deer and elk though!
We got CITY deer
