I listened to @Big Fin podcast with Gaspar Perricone on a drive for work yesterday. Interesting discussion all around. It did leave me with a specific question regarding wildlife management. Is there any resource that shows where percentages of funding for wildlife management come from? That's a broad term but I'm thinking all encompassing wildlife management including state game agencies, federal wildlife agencies, college grants for research, habitat work, etc. etc.
I know the majority of funding for state management comes from excise taxes and tag sales. But does anyone know the total percentage of funding that comes from sportsmen and women for wildlife management as a whole? Maybe that's a more difficult question to answer than I think it is.
