I just ordered a new Howa Kuiu in .308. Is there anyone out there that shoots the same gun and has a factory round that they’ve had good luck with? I will be using it for elk hunting this oct. I was drawn for second season rifle in New Mexico.

I shoot Nosler 165 Partitions ad 168 E-Tips out of my many Howa .308. The performance is very impressive.

Before I became a compulsive hand loader I found Hornady Custom 165grn BTSP'S shot very well in my .308. It seemed to like 165grn Federal Fusions as well. Although mines a Tikka, not a Howa.

Let me know how it shoots. I’m interested in that gun as well.

As Big Fin says, hard to go wrong with Nosler ammo.
My 06' loved the 165gr Ballistic Tips, same my 7mm-08AI, deer not so much.

Congrats on your draw!
