I have saved the original packaging from rounds that I have shot but recently bough new unfired brass. I have read that some will store it loose in zip lock bags inside a military style ammo can. Leaning towards plastic cases but struggle between 20 or 50 round boxes (basically because I am used to 20 round purchases I guess).

How do you store shells after reloading if you do not have a "holder"?

Handgun ammo I use 50 rd boxes and long action rifle ammo 20 rd boxes. Short action fifty rd boxes. Hunting I carry a 10 rd folding cloth ammo holder in my pack.

Anything that fits (BR, Dasher, Creed's, 243, etc) goes in Alpha boxes. If it's Alpha brass they come with it, if not I'm happy to pay the $8.00, they're my favorite.

Most of my 223 practice ammo is in ammo cans.

Yep. Practice ammo. Some guys say you have to use your primary hunting rifle to practice. I use my .222 Remington for practice. Works for me. mtmuley

I like to shoot. I still practice some with hunting and match rifles, but mixing 223's in makes it easier to shoot more.

My wife gets my dogs these glucosamine supplements that come in a lovely white plastic cylinder.

38 Special, 9mm and .45acp go into those plastic cylinders. I can get 250 9mm into one, probably 150 .45 ACP’s. It’s probably more…but I can’t be bothered to count.

The boomer mags go into their own containers…MTM boxes that I’ve had for…damn. Going on 20+ years now…

I’ve only ever shot two crows in my life: one was with a black powdered shotgun on a pheasant hunt with my dad as a kid (filled with God-knows-what), and the other was with an Ithica Mag 10 with 3 1/2” BBs. Both did the job👍

Bulk pistol ammo and 223 go straight into ammo cans. Hunting ammo goes into used factory ammo boxes with the load data written in sharpie on the box. Then they get stacked in ammo cans.20230902_083613.jpg

Like most my bulk 223 and pistol go into ammo cans. The rest of my handloads get got out into 50-100 rd plastic boxes that I can write all my load data on.
