CWD Cure Found - Cure Chronic Wasting Disease - CWD Cause Spiroplasma

Doctor Bastian from LSU has found that CWD is caused by a bacteria called Spiroplasma. A CWD cure found means a simple antibiotic to cure this dreaded disease.

Has LSU researcher found a cure for CWD? Scientists say, ‘no’ - Mississippi Sportsman

Scientists dispute findings by Dr. Frank Bastian, an LSU researcher, that he has discovered a cure for chronic wasting disease, coined by popular media as “Zombie Deer Disease."

Apparently he's been making similar claims for a long time and no one can reproduce his work.

This is pretty old news. His work has not been proven to be based in fact.

Ditto what others have said...people have been unsuccessfully trying to reproduce his results for over a decade now unsuccessfully. He mounts a new media campaign every few years, presumably when when his funding is running low.

Interesting that he says CWD is not caused by a prion protein, but a bacteria. After all the research I have a hard time believing this given all the research on this, but I'll hope for the best.
