[Northwoods]

With school closed I am now a teacher during the day and a LEO in the evening. I diverted from my daughters 2nd grade lesson plan a bit the other day and we took a science field trip looking for deer sheds. We didn’t find any deer sheds but we found these 2 skulls. A deer skull and a mystery skull. She was able to identify the mystery skull as a beaver with some help.

When we would have school groups come for environmental ed days, the habitat scavenger hunt was always a big hit. Nothing gets kids excited about the outdoors like finding stuff.

I always found "Road Apples" and "Meadow Muffins".Sometimes some "Dingleberries".
Teachers were never impressed!? 〽
