A friend has been working on a drift boat for nearly 3 years. He bought the plans (plans only, not a kit!) from a local guy and started cutting plywood and making forms to bend the plywood into shape.

Everything on this boat is hand made and pictures don’t do it justice on how well this boat is put together...

Wow! I would love to see that in person. I’m shopping plans right now, planning to start a boat this winter after SCI in Vegas. I had a wood boat years ago, in my opinion nothing handles as well as a well balanced wood boat.
That is an amazing piece of work.

Gorgeous! I have been thinking about a drift boat or cedar strip boat project for a while now. That is inspirational!

Impressive indeed. I wouldn't let that work of art anywhere near water.
Beautiful.

Some serious hours spent by a true craftsman right there. I am sure she will drift as well as she looks.

Wow, you don't see craftsmanship like this very often. Very impressive. Who sells the plans?
