Just landed in Kansas getting ready to head for the trees in the morning. Outfitter asked to see our licenses and we all pulled out a buck and a doe tag, but only 1 of the 4 of us was mailed an actual hunting license. We verified on Kansas's site that we all have already purchase our licenses but nobody was mailed one. Anybody else run into this or know what is going on.

We can probaly go into town tomorrow and get duplicates printed but will miss a morning in the tree and have to pay $12.50 for a duplicate.

Thanks for any help if anybody knows more than us!

If you are going to get a duplicate, every WalMart I know does license sales, and all of our south central sports sections will do one way into late evening, if not 24 hrs service with the store manager taking over if sporting goods associate is unable to get it done. So going tonight would allow you to hunt the sunrise deer traffic rush underneath your stand. Or I suppose you could screen shot your Kansas site info stating you have purchased your tag, and take a bit of a risk getting checked and getting "that guy" who would require a piece of paper to verify your status.

I used to get several separate licenses printed out.....new year hunt license, then spring turkey, then later state migratory stamp/HIP stamp, and later still deer and turkey carcass permit/tag(s). This fall when I purchased my deer any whitetail, antlerless tag and turkey tag, they were all printed on the green plastic license material in one print job. My license has a signature line, and states that it is not valid unless signed.

Your outfitter may have the phone number for your area's enforcement officer to clarify. Seems worth a phone call to me, if nothing else, just for peace of mind while you are hunting.
