Greetings from Illinois,
I am new to this site and never been hunting before. I love spending time outdoors and have recently discovered a deep desire to obtain my own food from the land. Now I'm hoping to begin the learning process of providing my family meat from land animals.
Being just 1 hour northwest of chicago, hunting has not been a huge exposure to the culture of my life. Public land here is extremely limited and hunting is seems to not nearly as open as other places out west. I have hopes of being able to find local (ish) places to hunt and go enjoy some areas of wisconsin and michigan. I have a dream of hunting big game and enjoying the outdoors in the rugged areas of the west.
