We have them around the house and May is the only month I haven't heard bugles.
Ya last week had a small herd of about a dozen elk in meadow next to me and had a bull bugle, not exactly the well defined perfect bugle but he looked like a younger raghorn. Was just nice to here it and usually seems i start to hear few as horns start growing better.

There's a herd of a out 50 in the hayfields below my house. I see them just about every day, and if the wind is right I can hear the cows chirping and I think it is the young bulls bugleing. It sure beats the sounds of a city.
