I found a thunderhead in a does backstrap 3 years ago. It was all healed and she was in good shape.
It had probably been there for a year.

It was touching the vertibrae!

The arrows disolving is more of a myth just like fish hooks.

Arrows with the coating they have on them wont disolve in any animal,pretty much the same deal with an arrow made of alum. and not coated.

what probally happened is rubbing the arrow in brush and stuff broke it off or wore it down. Then the skin grew over it.

Same thing with todays fish hooks, they wont disolve in fresh water, the coatings they put on fish hooks now adays wouldnt disolve in pure sulfuric acid.

it takes years for the process to happen.
