Interesting, so we'd have to count on the confirmation process to ensure the appointed director doesn’t just single handedly carry out a similar agenda as we've seen with the commission. The commission is confirmed by legislature currently? Maybe I'm missing something.HB 2434 Washington State Legislature

It seems amending the duties of the director with stricter boundaries and guidelines but who knows how that would all play out. It seems to be a very short, not well thought out bill which I’m sure will go nowhere, but maybe, just maybe, it could get some peoples wheels turning upstairs.
