Has anybody Hunted Fallow deer?

I saw one this weekend that is bigger than
I've seen photos of in the past on my neighbors High fenced property.
one word IMPRESSIVE.

Is it a good hunt?
Of course he would look way better on my wall

JB,

Over here in the UK, the Fallow more or less fills the same role as your Whitetail.
I have stalked them often, but much prefer stalking our Roe deer. A friend manages the Fallow in a local deer park and the bucks in their a very impressive. They have the common
variety and also the black phase as well.
If the Fallow in your area are "wild" rather than "deer park tame", they can be a challenging hunt and the the bonus is that the venison is excellent!

I have hunted them in the Wild of NZ and behind the fence here in the States> they are about like white tail. They can be a true challenge to hunt and what a rush to catch them scraping it out in the rut.

Yes it’s a good hunt, but if your neighbors property has a high fence it might be illegal to take shots at them.
