Anybody have one? And if so do you make your own backpack hunting meals? Easy? Taste good? Recipes?

A package of couscous (Far East brand), foil pack of chicken and a couple of tablespoons of butter (carried in a screw cap Rubbermaid "jar"). Into a quart ziplock freezer bag and the appropriate amount of boiling water. Let it rest/cook nestled in a knit hat for 5-10 min. Eat.

I use one for dehydrating soil/sediment samples at work. It's big, it requires a fair bit of maintenance (vacuum pump), takes a long time, and does not have a very large capacity. For what I do with it, it works. But I would not spend the money on one for home use unless you are really, really into dehydrated food.
