I usually run Media Player when I'm on the PC and I had an idea...(can you smell the smoke?)

so how about a little boredom breaker for a saturday? 3 lyrics from different bands. Make your guesses and continue the thread if you want to add on.

I'll go first

"Girls of fifteen, sexually knowing..."

"I'm prayin' for rain, I'm prayin' for tidal waves..."

"...you're 18, wanna be a man, you're grandaddy's in the Ku Klux Klan..."

Somebody give Nut a cigar!!

#2 is Aenema by Tool (political metal)

#3 is Don't drag me down by Social Distortion (power rockabilly-punk)

somebody else go...............anybody!!!!!!!!

Here are lyrics to a song that has been a favorite of mine lately:

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice

"When the sins of the father are the sins of the son"
"All you do is crawl when you wanna run"

That'll getcha all.

Mo's is Run by Snow Patrol. That songs just catching on with a couple stations here and yet our most progressive/new station up here was playing it this past summer, kinda funny to me. Shows how bad some radio stations are and how small play lists have become.

You got it Tone. A little slow for what I usually like to listen to, but the lyrics really move me. If anyone cares to hear the song it can be found here.

Here are some lines from some of my favorite performers. Some of these go back a few years.

"Up in a meadow in Jasper Alberta, two men, four ponies on a long lonesome ride"

"Texarkana is an hour ahead. and I got to keep my wheels rolling"

"the frost settles in on the sage"

Its a country song, Can you guess this one!!!

I know my sister in Law Jeri Can :D :D :D

by the way she looked, she had me rolling in dirt with a white T Shirt, Breaker breaker 1-9 shes a Big ol Flirt

WHOC,

Don't know the song but will guess it's by C. W. McCall?

Looks like I need to give a few hints for mine.

#1: This performer who is now dead, was a folk/country/pop artist

#2: Charley Daniels played fiddle on this song and others by this Southern Rock Band

#3: This rodeo rock performer recently had a liver transplant.

How about these:

"I'm gonna break that birdy's neck" (for Moosie)

"...you don't have to fight back, here's a pillow, bite that" :D

Err, heres a stateside one.

"How would scars find skin to etch themselves onto
How would broken find the bones"

couple of my favs

And now I am luying here I've had to much booze
I,ve been shat on and spat on and raped and abused

I heard leadbelly and blind lemon
on the streets where I was born
Sonny Terry, Brian mcGhee
Muddy waters sing " I'm a rolling stone.

Give ya a wee clue they're Irish ;)

OK Outdoor Chick the song is "Nothin' to Loose" by Josh Gracin. As for the other songs I hve no idea. But the song lyrics that i posted, I"ll be a little nice and give 1 hint to it....the artist...Tim McGraw.

1 Pointer: I know what song the second one is... I just cant think of it right now, I hear it all the time. I dont think many people on here will know it though, just because of the genre or it.
