Grandson’s Buck

Been a rough start to the year, had surgery back in June so w time I had to take off from both jobs I haven’t had the usual time I have to take my grandkids. Got to take both of em Saturday n socked in w fog all morning. Had to go work my side job from 2100-0200 that night. When I was leaving my oldest grandson asked; or I should say told, “we r going hunting in the morning”
0600 found us sitting in the blind w a doe n smallish 8 at daybreak. Then this boy came down the fenceline, jumped the fence to check out the doe. Grandson was a little nervous cause he’s hunting w a different rifle this year and decided he wasn’t going to shoot. I told him that I was going to shoot it then; not intending to, n rt away, “no papa, I’m going to shoot him” A well place bullet n a walk across the field later n their he layed!
Going to go process him tomorrow after I get off shift n then take the youngest to sit with me in the evening

Ended up spiking a fever when we got home, so that was the “presickness” look
