Gopher of a Lifetime

No picture so I hope everyone believes me but I spent about 2 weeks trying to kill one that was getting into crap in my garage. Finally cornered him behind the deep freeze and I took a hockey stick in my right hand and tricked him with the ice scraper through his guts with the left hand. #keepyerheadonaswivellittlebuddy

Brought this guy home from elk camp. The better half said she thought she was seeing fresh mouse shit in her car. I said can’t be. Well I eventually had to set trap to prove there wasn’t anything in her car. I was wrong. Not even 12 hours and caught the trespasser. IMG_4526.jpeg

We wondered where it came from. It was figured out the following spring when I changed out the in cab air filter I found this. IMG_4956.jpegIMG_4955.jpeg

I can't keep a cabin filter in my car. It's a mouse magnet. Getting the dead mice out of the blower fan is a bitch!

I’ve heard/read it’s cause the new fire walls are made from soy products now. How true that is I am not sure.
It's a 2016 and I just leave the filter out now so they don't have a platform to nest on. So far so good! Parked right next to my truck that rarely gets driven and no issues there yet that I know of. Knock on wood. Reminds me that I need to put more bait chunks out in the building.

On a $50 bet with my buddy, I shot this "Gopher" in the next zip code .22 magnum. Admittedly, there was a lot of luck involved in the shot.

Good lord did we ever get drunk that day....

Partner told me this story of shooting a far off buzzard with a handgun back in the day. Said his hunting buddy took a few shots and missed. So buddy lined it up and then held high, come back down and line it up and then go high again. Does this a couple times before he finally bucks one shot and about 6 seconds after the shot the bird drops…
Hunting partner looks up and says, “You know, I know a guy that broke his arm from patting himself on the back too hard” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Your “next zip code” statement made me think of this and laugh lol
