We've been spoiled with a mild winter up until now. It is fricken cold when your not climatized for these sudden drops in the temp.

Wind chill warning for
Lethbridge - Taber - Milk River issued

Extreme wind chill this morning.
Extreme wind chill values near minus 40 are occurring over parts of southern Alberta. Wind chills will moderate later this morning as temperatures rise.

It's -25 F at my house right now - 730 am friday. You headed out this weekend to look for critters?

Finalshot my son and I went out last week-end and saw about 50 mule deer none with horns. We spotted all of them from the truck and never got out to walk any draws. The wind was blowing to hard to enjoy a good walk. I've got an inventory coming up at work in 3 weeks that I've got to prepare for. I may as well set up a cot at work with the amount of time I'll be spending there.

Powderburn - I am glad we are not the only ones who saw a dramatic change in temps and weather the past few days. We have had about 18" of snow fall the past 3 days, more on the way. Wind chills this AM were close to -40. Sucks when I was in short sleeves grilling on Saturday. I was wondering when winter would finally arrive. Too bad this weather wasn't around during duck/goose season.

It was -23 here this morning at first light, supposed to hit -30 + tonight, will have to see... It's pretty sunny and -5 right now... :)

wyomingtim it got up to the - 20s here today and this is where our geese are staying. I ran Koda down to the river bottom and took a couple pics, these geese haven't been in the air for 2 days now.

Koda managed to sniff out this doe along the way. Looks like the coyotes are being well fed.
