Getting your visitors gun permit is probably the biggest issue you’ll have. It seems no matter now early you apply (e.g 4 months out) they like to issue them just before, or on the day of!, you depart USA.

On the ground the amount of moisture and wind is also something to note.

I applied for my visitors firearms permit in February. I’ve followed up 4 times, every time they’ve reassured me that I’ll have it before I leave. I leave in 5 days and still don’t have the permit. Apparently it was submitted to the supervisor for review a week ago. What a circus.

Such a shame a few people can ruin what should be a hassle free adventure.

When I apply for a USA permit to bring my rifle over there it’s very easy and quick.
