Getting to know each other

I'm 31. I'm a commercial fisherman and a saltwater charter capt. I like to hunt/fish a little bit too much.

PA...Why buy a Lifetime liscense and hunt the same arceage over & over, when you can spent the same money, not be locked into any land lease, and give your best shot at grabbing a Tag to the Happy Hunting Ground !!!

Understood! But I already have that damn lifetime lease and it's hard to break isn't it.:(

Names Jim. 45 years old. Born and raised in Montana. Reside in Glendive, MT. Married for 15 years. No kids. I worked for the state of Montana for 26 years. Couldn't stand it any more and took a early retirement. I have been hunting and fishing since I can remember. My dad was a outdoor nut and I guess I caught it. I dont golf or bowl but I do everything outdoors. I hunt, fish, backpack, trap, kill coyotes, find sheds, shoot guns, bows and just about everything else outdoors. Since i have retired I go ALL the time. I'm an addict. Oh yea, my wife doesn't care how much I go. That is a good thing.

New to site, have enjoyed the show from day one. I am nigh to 50 and have hunted since I was 6. I am from NW Fla and both my parents began bowhunting in the mid 60's. My dad bow killed a big palmated 10 point on the Eglin Air Force main base in 1966 that made the local papers. I was raised bowhunting and anticipating our annual family vacation to Colorado for archery mule deer.
I served a tour in the U.S.M.C., then worked around the country for a few years hunting every place I could. I have been blessed to live in Western Wyoming now for 22 years. Life and hunting here have been good to me. I met and married my dream gal and she has given me 4 sons. They are now 9 - 16 years old. My 2 oldest have each taken deer and antelope. Also my #2 boy took a archery cow elk on opening day of his first season at age 12 and followed that up this year with a rifle cow. My # 3 turns 12 this Summer and is anxious for his first year afield.
I have been lucky in the draws taking a 167" Bighorn in Area 4, a nice archery Shiras bull and a Jackson Herd Bison Bull. I need a mtn lion amd mtn goat to have all big game specie in Wyoming which is my goal before the Lord calls be home. I love to hunt elk and have tagged out every year I have been here including 10 bulls and 1 cow by bow.
I believe in helping fellow hunters and have assisted 5 fellows I met on another site to a Wyoming hunting experience. That resulted in 1 elkless but enjoyable elk hunt and 4 succesful Shiras hunters.

I'm 33, lived in Idaho for all of them. Married for 13 years and have a 3 year old little girl who asks when she can go hunting on an almost daily basis. I have hunted since I was a kid but didn't put much time into it after I went to college. Last fall I decided my motorcycle riding hobby was taking too much of my time and sold my bike for a camp trailer. I did almost two weeks in the mountains last season and decided I made a good choice. I plan on spending the time I used to spend on the bike scouting and practicing with my first bow that I hope to buy sometime this spring.

My name is Bill. I am 28 y/o. I was originally born in Ak and grew up there. Moved to Salt Lake 3 1/2 yrs ago to become a full-time firefighter/paramedic. I am married without kids. As long as my honeydoos are done I spend as much time as possible in the woods. Just started archery hunting last year. Got a great 6 1/2 foot black bear. Still working on my stalking technique for deer/elk, maybe this year. Can't wait to see what I draw out for!

'Bout time I chimed in.

I'm 41 yrs old, married to my high school sweet heart for what will be 20 years this upcoming June. We have 4 wonderful children, 3 girls and my youngest little man. I was born and raised in San Diego, but had to move 4 years ago because it was becoming the next L.A., and CO was the place God had for us. I work in Telecom mainly as a subcontractor for AT&T turning up their internal systems.

I've only been hunting since '97 when a work buddy convinced my wife to let me go dove hunting. 1st shot in the field was a kill, been hooked ever since. I was mostly a bird hunter till this year. I'd been on a handful of big game hunts with no success until this year.

I filled my Antelope and Deer tag, hopefully I'll start considering myself a Big Game guy who hunts birds part time!

Well I am 30 and have been married for going on 10 years this year, and we have 2 boys 6 and 8. Both of them love to go shooting with dad and even on the occasional hike with me. I started hunting when I was 14 and fell in love with it right off the bat. However, I ended up stopping while I was in college and really didnt get back into until about 4 years ago. Now I am completely obsessed with it. So far I have only been able to hunt MT but that has kept me fairly busy. I just started bow hunting last year to extend my season that much more, and WOW what a rush. I plan on going for elk this year with a bow and hopefully will have a small amount of the luck that other members of this forum had last year. I am fortunate to have a wife that is very understanding of my obsessions, and even though our anniversary falls at the end of September, she has no problems with me being away for pretty much all of the fall months. Hopefully one of these years I hope to hunt out of state, but I think I could be happy with the abundance of hunting MT has to offer.

I'm 47and have lived all my life in northern mn in the small town of Big Falls, now famous as the birthplace of Big Fin.I work road construction in the summer to pay the bills and do taxidermy in the winter.I love to hunt fish and trap mainly here in Mn but occasionaly enjoy an out of state hunting trip.I'm getting married on march19 to a great gal who lets me enjoy the great outdoors as much as I want, life is good.

My turn I guess.:)

I live in Spokane, born and raised here- 41 years. It will be 15 years this June with my wife. Son Tate who is 11 and daughter Ashlyn who is 8. I am a project manager/superintendent for a large commercial builder/ property manager. Started out sweeping floors while going to college and never left, 22 years ago. I hunt mostly big game elk-deer & bear. My passion is elk, and that's tough here in Washington, but have been doing pretty well the last few years. I hunt MT when I get drawn, just love the seasons over there, getting ready this week to reduce my bank account by $1000.00:eek: Tate passed hunter ed and shot his 1st deer last fall, spike buck, 1st deer we saw- created a monster my wife says.:D
