I'll have to check what the butler creek caps are made of, ABS is bad stuff.
If it the Aluminum leupold caps, definitely.

I have a Vortex on that rifle… and no ocular lens cap. I have a vortex cap on objective lens. It’s not a great cap. Is there a “good” universal cap out there?

Butler creek makes some decent universals. You just have to measure your scope.
