I just got back from a funeral in Cottonwood Az [yesterday]... this is the 5th one in 2 years....The positive thing about it was at this one I saw people who i haven`t seen in 30 years.

Although the service was sad [always is].. afterword we went to the widows house and had a great time... We sat in the back yard under the shadow of Mingus mountian [light snow] and its amazing how everyone has changed in the looks dept. but everyone is still the same person inside.:)

Anyone else have a great funeral experiance?

You know I have been fortunate enough not to go to any/many. I went to One of Vicki's cousins Funeral. He was in Highschool and fell off the back of a Car in Pocatello a few years back. But as far as others I haven't been. It's funny that when you're younger (Like I am ;) ) You go to Child births ALOT. I go to the Hospital maybe once a month or more but don't go to funerals.

As I get older (Like I am ;) ) I'm guessing that is gonigto Flip flop were alot of the People I know are aging with me......

Moosie, eventually everyone is dying off, making you the older generation. I am now to the point that I am the old uncle. Instead of my mom an dad's brothers and sisters, cause they all dead.

It seems when you hit around 50.. it starts happening more and more....before that I never thought about the elders dying off... Both my parents are 80....Mom seems Ok but my is Dad having some problems.... glad I live about 500 yrds away so i can help them out every day. [when I`m home].

If you're elderly family members are in good shape and you want to do something with them, don't put it off.
They aint gonna be around forever, and neither are you.

When they plant you, your last words definitely won't be ... "Dang, I wish I hadn't of done all that fishing / hunting / fun stuff with ______."

I agree with Steiny, do it now. You never know. Every year I have long time, as well, as new friends that bite the bullet. 23 yrs in the Marines and not a scratch... Dave slipped at home, bonked his head.. Goner! Lukemia, 35 yrs old Heart attack, several car wrecks.

I was on the phone a few days ago, with my 1st Love (yeah, we still talk a couple times a week), and I had to tell her, "The next time I see you, I don't want to be in a casket" !
