I have a for sale a new un-carried 18th century style longhunter knife. The knife was made by Todd Butler in Alabama. Todd's work is gaining a lot of praise. He studied with Hershel House and friends and his work reflects his time with those guys. He forged this knife on a coal forge of 1084 carbon steel. The blade is 8" long, 1.25" tall at the bolster, and 3/16" thick. There is a through tang, maple handle. The handle has a pewter filled steel bolster and silver end cap. The sheath is welted and rather than a belt loop it has ties on it so it can be tucked into a belt and tied to it in any configuration as was common in the period.

This is one of the finer knives I own but I received it in trade and already have another one very similar. It is priced to move at $200 shipped.
