Born and raised on a 500 square mile rock in the middle of the ocean. Been on the ocean and in the mountains since as far back as I can remember with my dad. Hunting and fishing has always been a way of life here for me. Axis and Blacktail deer, hogs, goats and Mouflon sheep make up most of my hunting adventures. Every fish in the sea makes up the rest. Being out there and the experience of it all is the why for me. Meat on the table is the bonus and always appreciated.

I work with a guy that grew up in Hawaii and he still has lots of family there. He is big into spear fishing. He always sends me a gift package of local food like tuna jerky and one ton chips.

Welcome, I was raised in Kona on the big island, mom moved me there when I was a baby back in the days before hurricane Iinki, wifes work moved us to northern California about 2 years ago, it was different going from somewhere I could hunt every weekend to seasonal now, but I love archery deer hunting but my favorite thing to hunt here is the black bear, “and theres lots here” stillhead fishing has definitely been awesome in the big rivers here, it’s definitely not the same as back home but I’m really enjoying this adventure, so I know what you mean, definitely gotta do both from mauka to makai.
