I am selling my Weatherby Mark V Fibermark chambered in 7mm Wby Mag. I’ve had this rifle for quite a few years but have fired less than two boxes of ammo through it. The gun is in excellent condition with its main flaw being a slight cut in the stock that occurred when I had it in a vise while sighting in. I didn’t realize the pad on the clamp was missing, so it dug into the stock. I just put a Sharpie marker to it, and now it’s barely noticeable. I am just getting rid of this safe queen since she’s a bit too much gun for southern whitetail. Asking price is $1200. PM me if interested or with any questions. I can provide additional photos if requested. I also have some ammo (17 rounds, mix of 150gr ballistic tip and 140gr triple shock) that will be included as well. Thanks.

That may be why it’s taking a while to sell locally. I thought it was people just worried about the ammo cost.
No, im not bashing you but thats like buying the (shaq?) f550 pickup build to drive your kids to school.

The guys here who pick 7mm rem magover 300 win mag are trying to get flatter shooting bullets when shooting elk at 500+ yards. Not saying i am for or against that. I have a 300 win mag and a 270 win. If im shooting elk places that are thick with trees and rock formations I take the 270 because i figure out to 300 yards the 270 is just about perfect. The slightly larger and heavier 300 win mag rifle has killed many animals under 200 yards, but where i like that is 200-500 yard shots when i dont know how windy it will be that weekend. Of course i meter wind before shooting that far, but the wind drift in a 20 mph cross wind with the heavy magnums is significantly less than 30 06 or smaller.

Find someone who likes elk hunting and youll have yourself a buyer.
