Fishing around Missoula

Just got into Missoula and looking to do a little fishing to pass the time. I have a fly rod with me but that's about its. Looking for any pointers or good spots to start at or what works good down here. Was going to stop by the fly shop tomorrow. But if there are any locals on here that would be nice to get some pointers.

If you have the time and can take a drive up Rock Creek to the east of Missoula about 25 miles there's a road that goes back a long ways with a bunch of spots to pull over and wet a line. I haven't had the chance to fish the Clark Fork around Missoula though. I think pretty much anywhere you head though you'll find a spot! Good luck!

I'm sure you're out by now, but head up the Blackfoot river or down the Bitterroot if not Rock Creek. The Blackfoot is the "river runs through it" river.
