There isn't much that happens in the year that I get more excited about than getting to eat the first springer of the year. :D Our coastal river springers are a bit later than the Columbia River fish so they are just now starting to show.

Took the night off bear hunting and was rewarded with a bobber down! One of my babies from a few years back.....it's nice to have a job where you can see the results of your hard work first hand. ;)


Back to bear hunting tomorrow night!
 
My buds been catching springers in the Willamette They are tasty critters. I go up in September for fall chinook on the Nehalem. Three of my friends live on the river.
