We had our first local fire of the year yesterday. Cal Fire continues to live up to their own standards. The fire was less than 2 miles from the station and 2 1/2 miles back and improved dirt road. Response time was nearly an hour. They did hit it hard with 6 or more engines, water tenders, a borate bomber and at least 1 helicopter. I'll guess it was contained to less than 30 acres as the same ground burned less than 2 years ago. Residents never got the emergency alerts that were supposed to be sent out. We'll just call it a "practice fire".snapshot_2022_06_13_16_24_24.jpgsnapshot_2022_06_13_20_39_17.jpgsnapshot_2022_06_13_16_30_36.jpg
