This year we planned and went on our first DIY hunt in NW Nebraska for antelope with archery equipment. Because it was so successful and so much fun we are starting to plan for more hunts like this. Next year we are thinking about an elk hunt. I was curious where may be the best places to go? Because we are using archery equip. it may be easier to get tags but I am curious what you all may think. I am also wondering if there is anywhere to buy tags over the counter but also have enough public land to be successful.
Thanks everyone

Not that you'd be steering them away from good old Montana?!?!;)

LMAO! I was wondering when someone was going to say that! Maybe...but Colorado is a great destination for elk. I love it down there.

I thought the same thing after reading your post "What about Montana?" I guess if someone from there is promoting CO. it says a lot. With that said would CO. be best for first timers. Also where at in the state may be best? Again thanks for the help.
