I have noticed that I have slight variations with anchor point when using my index finger release. I know there are a number of different releases on the market now and wondering what everyone prefers? I am leaning towards the Stan perfex thumb release. I like the idea of a thumb release but if anyone has good arguments for another style I am open to feedback.

Are you near a range that will let you shoot a variety of models? I shoot TF hardcore revolution and like it. You are still going to have to hit the same anchor point once you find it. The only “issue” with mine is it a single caliper so it releases the string differently than the trigger release I uses previously. It affects the shot pretty substantially, so you almost have to buy two if you want a backup.

Thanks, I will definitely be testing them out when the ranges open.

I personally like Carter releases and find that a hinge is probably my best bet. It helps me that I don't have to focus on actually triggering anything. Just go through my motions and it fires itself. I did recently purchase a Nock2It to try out the thumb button. I can definitely see the value in having it, and am able to pretty consistently fire it using the same method as the hinge.

I switched to a thumb release. It wasn't cheap. The inexpensive models I've tried felt very gritty and less than smooth. Ended up with a trufire hardcore revolution. Very happy with it.

Thanks all, went with the Stan perfekt thumb releae. Tightened my groups up substantially after getting my bow adjusted for the new anchor point
